Defendor® specialty herbicide provides postemergence control of annualand perennial broadleaf weeds in established lawns (residential andcommercial), commercial sod farms, ornamental and sports turf, (sportsfields, golf course fairways, roughs, tee boxes, unimproved turfgrassareas), and cemetaries. Susceptible weeds emerged at the time ofapplication will be controlled.

Uniform coverage is required for optimumperformance. Defendor is rainfast within four hours after applicationand has soil residual herbicidal activity dependent upon weed species, soil type, soil moisture (rainfall or irrigation after application) and the rateof application. Control in late fall and early spring Defendor® specialty herbicide, with the active ingredient florasulam, is a systemic herbicide that is absorbed via leaves, shoots and roots of susceptible broadleaf weeds. It works as an ALS inhibitor, preventing enzyme synthesis and cell division.
